Ive been trying to include content that I love, and is important to me personally.
In doing this, Ive come across some personal baggage and I have been attempting to process it in the light of truth.
The conflict for me seems to be in the areas of love, and should.
I love knowledge.
I love insight.
There are very few things in life that I love more that seeing past current perception lines,
and self imposed limitations.
Living under and applying the paradigm of Gods love and acceptance changes sight lines that often come from the bondage of religious limitation..Living a fear based life of list regulation is opposite of what God intends for us. It is one of the things that Jesus gave his live to deliver us from.
I wonder why it is then that so many of us Christians live under such obligation?
But that is a larger discussion.
My personal context for these ideas are in the areas of innovation.
As Ive been coding, ive been watching Fringe on VLC.
Some of the subjects on the show have me thinking...
How much do we believe Jesus when He says "All Authority"?
How much of our own current social and personal prejudice do we apply to that statement?
Why do we translate that into limitation rather than freedom?
More specificity, why do we think that some areas of research or interest are "off limits" or inherently "sinful"?
It makes me wonder how many scientific advances have been opposed by those under the influence of a religious spirit. What other innovations and discoveries have been labeled as "witchcraft"
due to a mis-understanding of the phrase "All Authority"?
I believe that the people who truly understand the death of Jesus, and the power of the resurrection have an open door to be some of the greatest innovators, scientists, explorers in history. The idea that someone who believes in creation cannot truly understand science is one of the most preposterous ideas currently being perpetuated. I am impassioned to live a life of wonder and curiosity in relationship with the greatest mind in the universe...
The mind of God.
